Harvard University’s visiting scholar at the Bank England, Paul Schmelzing studied 700 years of data which suggests that not only are interest rates well below the historic norm, but that when they change they could change rapidly.
The key take away from this week’s show is that not only have we lost the culture of preparedness, but that we are also in an age of rapid change.
